cancellation policy
Because no-one likes surprises…
As a parent, I get that sickness and life happens.
Whilst I will always try to be accommodating and reasonable, this cancellation policy is designed to protect the therapeutic relationship with your family (consistency and predictability matter), as well as respect families on the waitlist and the sustainability of small business operations.
Client cancellations: notice requirements
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify Sarah at least two business days in advance. This allows me the opportunity to offer this appointment time to another family.
Cancellations made more than 2 business days ahead of the session will incur no fee
Cancellations made less than 2 business days will be charged 50% of the session fee
No-shows will be charged 100% of the session fee and payment will need to be made prior to the next appointment
If I can fill your appointment at short notice, I will, and I will waive your fee.
If you or your child is sick
With contagious symptoms such as flu, cough, colds, fever, gastro etc, please do not attend your session. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will attempt to make arrangements for a tele-health session.
If a tele-health session is not possible, the standard cancellation policy applies.
Therapist cancellation
Please know that your child is important and I never take cancellations lightly. However, sometimes sickness and life get to me too, and I may need to cancel a session. In this case, I will give as much notice as possible, there will be no charge, and I will reschedule at the earliest opportunity.
How to cancel
Please contact me directly if you need to cancel a session via email or text:
